Did your flight just get canceled and you are now stranded at Charles De Gaulle Airport? Are you looking for CDG airport hotels but not sure which hotels are on-site in Charles De Gaulle and which airport hotels are not on-site but accessible by shuttle? It can get very confusing when looking for airport hotels in Charles De Gaulle.
When my flight got canceled and I had to spend the night at Charles De Gaulle, I ended up booking one night at Moxy which I thought was an airport hotel that you could easily walk to or take a shuttle to. But I was so wrong! It was far and it took me a good 30 minutes of walking with luggage and 2 kids just to find that the shuttle bus stop that we walked to was the wrong one because I’m supposed to take the shuttle train instead!
Don’t make the same mistakes that I did! Below I will give you everything you need to know about where the airport hotels are in Charles de Gaulle and how to get there!
What Airport Hotels are Right Inside Charles De Gaulle Airport?
There are only 2 airport hotels that are inside Charles De Gaulle Airport- the Sheraton Hotel and YotelAir. Sheraton Hotel is an airport hotel that is in Terminal 2. And YotelAir is an airport hotel located right in Terminal 2E.
Both Sheraton Hotel and YotelAir are located right inside Charles De Gaulle. These are airport hotels where you don’t need to take a shuttle, taxi, or shuttle train- you can easily walk to both of these hotels because they are connected to Charles De Gaulle Airport.
I wish I knew this when I was scrambling to find an airport hotel at Charles de Gaulle. In my opinion, the Sheraton Hotel at Charles de Gaulle is really the most convenient airport hotel at Charles De Gaulle because it’s connected to the airport, right in Terminal 2. YotelAir is another option but it is not as convenient because you have to go in airport security to get in.

What are the Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotels with Hotel Shuttles?
Below are the airport hotels with a shuttle bus or shuttle van service from Charles de Gaulle. Keep in mind that these hotel shuttles typically charge a fee of 5 to 9 euros per person, you will need to book the shuttle with the hotel, and getting to the hotel shuttle bus stop may require a lot of walking depending on which terminal you are coming from.

Charles De Gaulle Hotel Shuttle vs Shuttle Train
At Charles De Gaulle Airport, you can get to your hotel by hotel shuttle or shuttle train. These are 2 different modes of transportation, which can be confusing.
I had mistakenly assumed that all Charles de Gaulle airport hotels are serviced by a hotel shuttle. And when I think of hotel shuttles, I had assumed a hotel shuttle bus or hotel shuttle van.
I was WRONG! At Charles de Gaulle, the airport hotels located in Charles de Gaulle are serviced by the Shuttle Train (CDGVAL Shuttle Train).
Keep in mind that the Charles De Gaulle Shuttle Train is not a door-to-door shuttle service- meaning, you will need to walk to the shuttle train stop, take the shuttle train and then walk to your hotel.
Expect to do a lot of walking which is not easy with luggage and kids! The only good thing about the Shuttle Train is that it is free.
While the “airport hotels” that are located outside Charles de Gaulle are serviced by a hotel shuttle bus. Typically, these hotel shuttle buses charge a fee of 5 to 9 euros per person each way and you need to call the hotel to reserve.
Taking the hotel shuttle bus sounds like the easier option but it’s not because depending on which terminal you are coming from, you will have to walk to the hotel shuttle bus stop. And if the hotel shuttle bus stop is located at a different terminal, you will have to take the airport shuttle train just to get to the hotel shuttle bus stop! That’s adding an extra step! Charles de Gaulle is a BIG airport, you will do a lot of walking!
Which Airport Hotels in Charles De Gaulle Don’t Have Hotel Shuttle but Are Accessible by CDGVAL Shuttle Train?
Below is a list of Charles De Gaulle airport hotels that are at Charles De Gaulle but not directly connected to Charles De Gaulle. They are within walking distance from Charles de Gaulle Airport. You will need to take the CDGVAL airport shuttle train to get to these airport hotels.

Do keep in mind that if you take the airport shuttle train, you will need to still walk a good 10 minutes with luggage to get to your hotel! (It’s not an easy walk, especially with luggage and kids- trust me!)

How do you get to the Airport Hotels at Charles de Gaulle?
There are 4 ways to get to airport hotels at Charles de Gaulle- 1.) Walk there 2.) CDGVAL Airport Shuttle Train 3.) Taxi or 4.) Airport Shuttle Bus. I will go over each option with you.
Walk to the CDG Airport Hotel
The only airport hotels that you can easily walk to are the Sheraton and YotelAir because both of these airport hotels are located right on-site at Charles de Gaulle Airport. They are connected to the airport- you don’t even have to exit Charles do Gaulle to get to the Sheraton or YotelAir!
If you are in Terminal 3, there are a few airport hotels you can walk to. You do need to exit Charles de Gaulle and walk in the street to get to these airport hotels. Do know it’s a good 5-minute walk and with luggage, it’s not an easy walk! These are the hotels you can walk to from Charles de Gaulle Terminal 3: citizenM, Hilton, ibis, ibis Styles, Novotel and Pullman.
CDGVAL Airport Shuttle Train
The most common way to get to the airport hotels at Charles de Gaulle is by taking the CDGVAL Airport Shuttle train and then walking to the airport hotel from the train stop. Don’t confuse the CDGVAL Airport shuttle train with the Airport Hotel shuttles because they are not the same thing!
The CDGVAL Airport Shuttle Train is a free train service that connects Charles De Gaulle terminals and parking lots. While the Airport Hotel shuttles are shuttle buses or vans that pick you up from the airport and take you directly to your hotel- it’s a door-to-door service- you don’t need to walk with your luggage to your hotel!
CDGVAL Airport Shuttle Train Hotels (Parking Pr)
Below are the Charles de Gaulle airport hotels near the Parking Pr stop on the CDGVAL Airport Shuttle train. Do know that these hotels are a 5-10 minute walk from the CDGVAL Airport Shuttle train stop.
Plus you will have to take the elevator to get to the other side of the train track just to exit if you are coming from Terminal 2 or 3. It’s not an easy walk because these hotels are a few blocks away from the exit. They do have walkways for you to use to get to these hotels but it’s still not easy and the signage is lacking.
When we were trying to get to Moxy, we used Google Map to find our way and once we saw the Moxy hotel we walked in the general direction to get to it!
The CDG airport hotels near Parking Pr are listed below.

CDGVAL Airport Shuttle Train Hotels (Terminal 3/Roissypole)
Below are the CDG airport hotels that are at the Terminal 3/Roissypole stop. Do keep in mind that these airport hotels are not connected to Charles de Gaulle so you will have to walk 5-10 minutes to get to these hotels.
The CDG airport hotels that are near Terminal 3/Roissypole stop are listed below:
citizenM
Hilton
Ibis
Ibis Styles
Novotel

CDGVAL Airport Shuttle Train Hotels (Terminal 2)
You can get to the Sheraton Hotel from the Terminal 2 stop. The Sheraton Hotel is right inside the terminal- you don’t have to walk outside!
I wished I knew this when I was booking our stay- the Sheraton is the easiest and most convenient hotel at Charles de Gaulle because it is a true airport hotel that is connected and right inside Charles de Gaulle.

Taxi
You can take a taxi to the airport hotels at Charles de Gaulle but do know that it’s really expensive to take a taxi to the airport hotels at Charles de Gaulle. It can cost 35 to 40 Euros for a taxi ride from Charles de Gaulle to your airport hotel.
For example, a taxi ride from Terminal 2 to Moxy Hotel is 40 Euros. When we found this out, we decided to take the CDGVAL airport shuttle train instead since it’s free!
However, after taking the CDGVAL shuttle train and doing the long walk, we decided the next day that it is worth it to take a taxi to Charles de Gaulle from Moxy hotel.
It was just too tiring to walk to the shuttle train from the hotel and from the shuttle train to Terminal 2E with luggage and kids! Our taxi fare from Moxy to Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2E was 35 Euros and at 5:30 am, it was a quick 5-minute taxi ride! When traveling with 2 kids and luggage it’s worth taking the taxi from the airport hotel for the door-to-door service- you get picked up at your hotel and dropped off right at the terminal!
Airport Shuttle Bus or Van
Another way to get to airport hotels is via the airport shuttle bus or van. These airport hotels are located outside Charles de Gaulle Airport and are not within walking distance of the airport. Here is a list of airport hotels in Charles de Gaulle serviced by Airport Shuttle Bus.
Do keep in mind that to get to the airport shuttle bus stop, depending on which terminal you are coming from, you may have to walk (a lot) and/or take the CDGVAL train shuttle to get to the airport shuttle bus stop. Plus many of these hotels charge a per-person fee to use the Airport shuttle bus.
In my opinion, if you want a quick overnight stay at the airport and you are traveling with lots of luggage and kids, these hotels are not the best options because just getting to the airport shuttle bus stop is a hike plus these hotels are located outside the airport. They are not really airport hotels since they are not located in Charles De Gaulle airport, they are just hotels with airport shuttles.
