How Long is the Wait at Calabria Pork Store on Arthur Avenue?
When I was there, the line was short at Calabria. The workers were quick and efficient. I didn’t have to wait that long to place my order.
What to Order at Calabria on Arthur Avenue?
Soppressata
The soppressata is the main attraction at Calabria. The soppressata comes in sweet, hot, extra hot or spreadable (Anduja). It’s an interesting interpretation of Soppressata, more tender than usual. It’s got, for lack of a better term, a bit of a funk. Give the soppressata at Calabria a try; it’s highly addictive and goes great with cheese and a good chianti.
Calabrese Cheese
The Calabrese Cheese is a must-try. It’s sharp pecorino cheese with a hot chili kick.
Calabria Pork Store and Kids
Bring the kids to the Calabria Pork Store to see the pork snouts in the display fridge.They may like viewing the sausage chandelier as well, but I believe adults will be more impressed than children. Know that some children will be put off by Calabria’s strong meat odor; most kids will not want to stay in the store and will need to go outside for fresh air.

Your best bet when food shopping at Calabria is to park at Belmont Municipal Parking. Calabria is conveniently located across the street from the driveway that connects the Belmont Municipal Parking Lot to Arthur Avenue.
The Belmont Municipal Parking Lot on Arthur Avenue is located at 2356 Hoffman Avenue, Bronx, NY. The entrance to the parking lot is from Hoffman Avenue. The nice thing about parking at the Belmont Municipal Parking Lot is that there is a driveway that you can walk on that connects you directly to Arthur Avenue. It will take you right to the heart of Arthur Avenue, across the street from Calabria and the Arthur Avenue Retail Market.
You can also try your luck and drive down Arthur Avenue to find street parking but that can be challenging at times.
