How Long is the Wait at Madonia Bakery on Arthur Avenue?
Business is brisk at Madonia Bakery. However, the line moved fairly quickly. There were a lot of workers behind the counter, and they worked efficiently. The wait was minimal at Madonia Bakery. I was actually glad to have to wait a bit because it gave me the opportunity to look around the store and decide on which bread to buy.
What to Buy at Madonia Bakery?
Olive Bread
The olive bread at Madonia Bakery is to die for. The bread has the perfect combination of chewiness inside and a crusty outside. And the big chunks of fresh olives are divine.
Pan De Casa
The Pan de Casa at Madonia Bakery is delicious. Get a loaf and you can easily finish it in a day. The inside is light and airy. The outside is crusty. It’s the perfect combination. I first tried it at Enzo’s when they served it in their bread basket. My son loves the Pan De Casa and can probably eat half a loaf in one sitting if I let him!
Dark Chocolate Bread
The Dark Chocolate Bread at Madonia Bakery is amazing. It’s crusty bread that is chewy on the inside with dark chocolate chips all over. My husband and I ate half a loaf in one sitting!
I wish I could buy more bread but 3 loaves of bread was enough for our family. I’m still thinking about the Cheese Bread and my husband wants to try the Prosciutto Bread at Madonia. We will definitely buy them on our next trip to Arthur Avenue.

Your best bet when food shopping at Madonia Bakery is to park at Belmont Municipal Parking. Madonia Bakery is conveniently located across the street from the driveway that connects the Belmont Municipal Parking Lot to Arthur Avenue.
The Belmont Municipal Parking Lot on Arthur Avenue is located at 2356 Hoffman Avenue, Bronx, NY. The entrance to the parking lot is from Hoffman Avenue. The nice thing about parking at the Belmont Municipal Parking Lot is that there is a driveway that you can walk on that connects you directly to Arthur Avenue. It will take you right to the heart of Arthur Avenue, across the street from Madonia Bakery and the Arthur Avenue Retail Market.
You can also try your luck and drive down Arthur Avenue to find street parking but that can be challenging at times.
